By Coralie Welcomme. Pictures by Philippe Matsas. Translated by Marcia Hadjimarkos
Over the past few years the Ensemble L’Arpeggiata, led by harpist Christina Pluhar, has lined up one success after another.

The group’s fifth recording, the Roman composer Emilio de’Cavalieri’s Rappresentatione di Anima e di Corpo has just been released on Alpha. L’Arpeggiata is considered one of the top ensembles performing early baroque music today.

Christina Pluhar spoke to Goldberg with great modesty about the elements that have led to her success: an indisputable interest in the voice, an instinctive sense of colour, and an indefatigable pursuit of liberty in terms of sound and rhythm.
